Our group meets in Shottery between 2pm and 3.30pm on the first and third Tuesday afternoons each month. It was set up to meet the needs of those who have only dim memories of school French. Though some knowledge is assumed, we are going very much back to basics to learn phrases and constructions which can be used with whatever vocabulary still remains. We work on conversations, stories and songs which reinforce learning and enable us to put sentences together. Warning: contains grammar! 

One of our seven members has recently had to leave, so we could take one more now.  Do make contact if you would benefit from this approach.  It's actually fun and we laugh a lot.
